About

I would like to paint the way a bird sings. ~ Claude Monet

Thank you for visiting my Esty shop!

I began oil painting at the age of nine and later studied art at Arizona State University. I have also studied privately with several professional artists and at the Scottsdale Artists School. I am a recipient of two college art scholarships and a recent scholarship from Scottsdale Artists School. I am also a member of Oil Painters of America.

I live in Phoenix, Arizona with my wonderfully supportive husband, three teenagers and a newborn daughter! The house is always full and bustling with activity so painting keeps my sanity :)

I am inspired by nature and love the outdoors. I enjoy hiking and camping. All my paintings are inspired by places I have been using my own photo references or painted en plein air (on site).

Here on my Etsy site, I sell some of my smaller originals from my travels and hikes. My larger works and landscapes can be viewed and purchased on my website at http://nancyromanovsky.com

Here are a couple of comments from my collectors:

"I must tell you are a very gifted painter. I'm glad I can include you in my collection."
~Janis, Ft. Worth, TX

"I was just sitting down to thank for your beautiful painting. And you protected it so well for the journey to my house! It arrived safely. And it has already gotten more than my oooohs. It's your use of color to create vibrant light & shadows with crisp details & smudges that keeps me interested in studying it again and again. "
~Tracie, Trigard, OR
