Usually a piece of fabric or ribbon pretty much inspire what becomes of it--typically it works, sometimes I miss. One thing that is consistent though, is the absolute goal of perfect construction and durability. Sewing since I was 8, my skills were honed in high school by a committed teacher who influenced me more than she would have ever realized back then.
Fabrics are new and vintage--always clearly stated in the description. There's nothing like finding an incredible vintage textile from the middle of the century -- with its tags still attached--this is what I call new old stock.
BTW--while hunting the vintage linens to feed the sewing machines, I kept picking up other various vintage fancies--if you have time check them out at maryandgrace.etsy.com.
