I'm a long time vegan. I love animals and end up rescuing a lot of them, cats, dogs, rabbits, even fish and turtles at times.

I've now completed getting the feral cats in my neighborhood sterilized. There were about 60 feral and abandoned cats here who subsisted on handouts, garbage, and lived outside, mostly on the grounds of the elementary school. I found adoptive homes for about 20 tame cats and kittens. Four of the neighborhood cats are now living with me, and even though 3 are feral, so I have trouble handling them, they are doing well. One of those cats Deedee recently required life-saving, but very expensive surgery. I still continue to feed a handful of feral cats living near the elementary schools, but several other neighbors have allowed the feral cats to live in shelters in their yards, and so now, thanks to the TNR program, there is not such a concentration of feral cats living at the elementary school.

I have been making jewelry pretty much all of my life. When I was little I made my own dolls and then made jewelry for them out of odds and ends, washers, broken costume jewelry and so on. Later I started learning more exact methods. I've also been drawing and painting for as long as I can remember.
