I have been crafting all of my life. I taught myself to crochet in the early 1970's so I could have something to do while my husband(then boyfriend) fished. Since then, I haven't been able to stop. I came down with rheumatoid arthritis in 2004, which chiefly affected my fingers, but I still crochet and bead to keep them as nimble as possible. I'm not going to stop doing what I love to do.
When in high school and college, I sewed many of my clothes so I could have unique things.When I had children, I made some pretty sassy Halloween costumes for them, often winning prizes. Now I mainly sew handbags.
When I'm not crocheting or making jewelry, I teach world literature at a local college.I live high up in a National Forest filled with beautiful trees and wonderful animals.My own menagerie consists of five rescued cats, , a corn snake, and a beautiful quarter horse.My husband grudgingly shares the home…

I would have more cats but he'd probably move out---and he does come in handy sometimes. I have no problem being called a crazy cat lady.I feed lots of strays who have hard time surviving the winters up here(10 feet of snow).I also have two beautiful and creative daughters who are off living their own lives.
