Weaving runs deeper than threads and a loom. Woven fibers touch the heart of what it means to be human and connects me to it. Fiber is protection, adornment, utility and symbol. From an ancient cotton rag to an Indian saree woven with gold the same process is applied. The thread binds us together - cultures, continents, centuries and classes.
My creations are based in nature. From the fibers, to the dyes, to the creative inspiration, all is entwined with our earth. It is important to me to use my time of creation as a meditation in the act of living; a daily practice from which to learn.
