Hello! I'm Nick. This *gestures broadly* is my sea shack / gallery / garden / treasure haus.

Here you'll see everything from pre-Columbian fragments to Op Art silkscreen posters from the 1960s to 19th century Japanese ukiyo-e prints. There is no common denominator between the things I carry, other than that I love them. I believe deeply in living with the seasons, via what we eat, via cut flowers and greens, via the beautiful things that surround us in our homes. I collect works on paper because they can only take so much sun and need to rest -- transition is good.

My background is in design: I have a Masters in Interior Architecture from RISD, and work in with interiors, words and objects. My goal is to create sense of place using each. Most days I'm in the garden, the physical shop version of NICK HAUS, teaching at RISD or URI…
