My foray into polymer clay jewelry has been such a fun and sometimes challenging experience for me. I started out a bead-and-thread girl in my childhood, and along the way I graduated to wire and gemstones. I very much leaned towards the "traditional" materials of jewelry making. Until a couple of years ago, polymer clay was something from my childhood that I used to make lumpy and unattractive sculptures.
It was actually Etsy itself that started my obsession with polymer clay. Seeing the delicate, dainty things that other artists created with polymer clay made me realize that polymer clay creations did not have to be chunky and awkward - they could be delicate and intricate. I was intrigued!
