Enjoying what nature provides:

Living in a playground of mountains, lakes, and rivers, I am forever backpacking, kayaking, camping...always on the lookout for natural materials to weave my baskets out of. I like to think that when I incorporate materials from my adventures into a basket, I am able to share that experience with the person who gets the basket. I like to include birch bark from trees I find fallen in the forest, dogwood and willow that I collect along the streams where the deer and elk have been nibbling on them, and interesting driftwood I find along the lake shores. Every now and then I am lucky enough to stumble upon an antler that a deer has shed.

I believe that by surrounding ourselves with the artwork nature provides connects us with our roots and brings a peace to our lives in a modern time.
