Michelle's Profile

About

I learned to sew many years ago on an an old green, heavy, metal Singer sewing machine. It had only one stitch option- straight. I couldn't reach the foot pedal so my mom had to prop it a stack of phone books. It was loud and rattled. If I went too fast, I could feel the machine's vibrations run up my arms. My dad joked I was going to run the machine right through the wall.

I still use a Singer sewing machine, a lot less noisy than my first machine, but one that contently hums as it stitches along. Or is it me that contently hums while I stitch along?

Sewing is my true passion, but I dabble in other creative endeavors: jewelry, cards, embroidery, knitting, writing.
