Nicoletta Susanne's Profile

About

I was born in Africa but spent my childhood in the remote Scottish Highlands and was fortunate to have traveled extensively and lived abroad. Whether it's the desert with her shifting sands or the wild seas of north west Scotland they have equally left an impact, compelling me to express those emotions in a sculptural manner.

My work celebrates the natural world and as such I aim to select materials and objects which leave little or no negative impact on the environment. I do my best to ethically source all my semi and precious gems (no dyes, chemical treatments, no bad mining practises). The beads used are either antique, vintage or self made. Some of the gems are hand cut by myself.
