Printmaker, trail runner, skateboarder and Great Dane guardian in Venice Beach, CA.
Here at Old Star Press, I operate vintage printing equipment. All presses and cutters are run manually. No electricity is needed except for the record player.
Operating Presses:
Grigsby - a massive 3,300lb 1915 C&P press
Huntington - a smaller C&P Pilot Press circa 1895
KC - 1965 Challenge SP-15 Proofing Press
London - a 'portable' 1957 Adana QH Press used for demonstration and proofing. My manual Challenge paper cutter is from the 50's.
I also do laser cutting, book binding, illustration and general arts & craftiness.
