Jenny Walkley's Profile

About

I am a lace-a-holic! I love heirloom lace, heirloom infant christening gowns, heirloom ladies camisoles and heirloom curtains and table cloths. I knit, crochet, sew, and do French heirloom hand sewing, such as infant clothes for babies I don't have (?) Someone is going to get a tremendous gift sometime!
I also love handmade ceramics with whimsical themes, steam punk, (I know, a lady in her 60's is way old for this stuff!) and marvelous handmade 1930's and 40's ladies nightgowns with heirloom laces and silk fabric. Yum!
I just quit my job, after 17 years, teaching in juvenile detention. I really am not excited with the direction that public education has taken lately. Not enough time to do the testing, let alone do the teaching. Everyone needs to keep an eye on this subject for our country's sake.
