Caitlin Dundon has been interested in art and lettering since she was a small child - spending many years developing her own modern calligraphy style through years of independent practice. She has also taken workshops in Copperplate, pointed pen and other calligraphic forms from Lee An Clark, Carol Du Bosch and Linda Schneider.

After earning a Bachelor of Fine Arts degree in graphic design from Syracuse University in 1989, Dundon moved from Rochester, New York to Seattle, Washington where she currently resides with her husband, writer/editor Randy Woods.

Caitlin Dundon has also written a children's book:The Yellow Umbrella (Simon & Schuster, 1994) was named Pick of the Lists by the American Bookseller's Association.

Dundon's art and calligraphy have been commissioned by such clients as the YMCA of Greater Seattle, Seattle Symphony, Classical King FM, Swedish Medical Center and Children's Hospital. Her art been commissioned as corporate gifts for many local and international celebrities including: Oprah Winfrey, Elton John, Josie Bissett, Actress; Chris Cornell, Rock Musician; Dale Chihuly, Artist; Virginia & Bagley Wright, Art Collectors; Patti LuPone, Singer/Actress; Susan Hutchison, Kathi Goertzen, Newscasters; Bill & Melinda Gates; Microsoft founder and his wife; and Howard Schultz, CEO of Starbucks International, His Royal Highness, Andrew the Duke of York, and President of Rwanda, the Honorable Paul Kagame.

Dundon's work has also appeared in "Letter Arts Review", "Manhattan Bride, Seattle, Seattle Bride" and "Seattle Business Monthly" magazines and was mentioned in the Washington Post. She also write articles regularly for "Somerset Studio Magazine" where her art has also been featured.

She currently teaches calligraphy and mixed media techniques in the Seattle area as well as across the US and Canada at schools, colleges, mixed media retreats and conferences that has included: The Bush School, Seattle, WA; University of Washington, Seattle, WA; Art and Soul Mixed Media Retreat, Portland, OR, Kansas City, MO, Minneapolis, MN; Art is You, Petaluma, CA; Art Unraveled, Phoenix, AZ; and Letters of Joy, Seattle, WA.
