Everyone has a story....and here is mine. After working in the financial industry for over 16 years (and 2 beautiful girls later) I was desperately trying to find what many people talk about.... their "passion". I also wanted to be able to stay home with my girls! My inspiration, my dad Joe, always instilled in me to find my passion and stay home with my girls for as long as I could. I had been searching and searching for mine ever since my oldest was born. I spent days on end with my Dad, talking about what it possibly could be and still hadn't found it. "Life is too short to not do what you love and be your own boss. Don't go working for someone else!" my Dad would tell me.

My story comes to a sudden sadness. On July 25th 2005 my dad, my inspiration, my mentor, my best friend, was taken to the hospital, having seizures. We all thought it was a stroke but the news became worse. My dad,…

My dad, a vibrant, fun 73 year old was diagnosed with Glioblastoma, the most aggressive type of brain cancer and in 83 days he was gone. His death made me realize that life is too short not to do what you love and to find your passion.

Well, the story now continues with a smile on my face. I found it! This is my passion! I now have two store on Etsy, this store and also bella mia baby (www.bellamiababy.etsy.com)

Also, I needed to give back to help find a cure for this disease that my dad and so many others are dying from. So a portion of your money goes to the Chris Elliott fund for Glioblastoma research, in memory of my dad Joe, a self taught cabinet maker, who passed away October 16th 2005. Now I can continue his legacy of creating things, just like my dad did.

So you see, that's my story...oh, and thanks Dad, you'll always be my inspiration. I love you!
