About

I have been fortunate my whole life to have been able to support my family,a wife and two sons, with my art. My work has changed considerably over the years but basicly remains rooted in folkart - animals, hearts, and angels. I started by carving primitive animals, and then moved into carved and gilded trade signs - some as large as 15 foot - hundreds of them. My next pursuit was birdhouses - carved animal faces painted bright colors, thousands of them. I am still making art furniture - store fixtures, mirror frames and home accessories. I am so fortunate to have my furniture in many exciting homes, shops, galleries, catalogs and museum shops.

My next areas of interest are my paintings. I also like doing reuse assemblages with found objects and old photos.
