Toni Lansing's Profile

About

Welcome to my Etsy Store, where I list my original patterns and designs.
I have enjoyed all kinds of crafts for as long as I can remember.
I maintain two sister shops for other items; LadyTatterly.etsy.com for hand tatted jewelry and custom painted crochet and tatting thread and Tonisdollhouse.etsy.com for dolls and doll clothing.

I chose the name Ozark Nomad because we have lived in so many wonderful places. Iowa, Michigan, Texas, South Carolina, and Missouri have all been home to us. We are pretty settled now in Osage Beach, Missouri, and I am active with the Lake Fiber Artists and the Lake of the Ozarks Writers" Guild as well as working full time at our local hospital.

My closets are so full of yarn, there is barely room for clothes. When I want to create something new, I go digging in the yarn baskets to get inspiration.

When I began writing patterns, it was with the beginner in mind. There are so many folks who know how to crochet, but find it difficult to follow a pattern. I try to de-mystify the process and I use common English terms and very seldom use crochet shorthand. A lot of my patterns are for dogs, and they come in a million different shapes and sizes. I write so you can measure your own dog and follow the pattern to get a sweater that fits your own dog.

I also have patterns for Kindle listed on Amazon.com and as I finish my novels, I publish them on Amazon as well. I have been crafting forever, writing patterns since 2007, and writing novels since 2009.

I retired from patient care as an OB tech in 2015 and enjoy having more free time for making.

I am sincerely grateful to all the wonderful people who have purchased my patterns, favorited my shop, and taken the time to leave great feedback. It makes me happy to know there are people all over the world who are making warm sweaters for their pets. God Bless you all.

Thanks for looking me up, and have a great day. Namaste'
