Hi, I'm Niki, an artist and designer from Australia.
Most of the things I have for sale now is from a series of 18 prints of crops mentioned in the Filipino song Bahay Kubo. I lived in the Philippines as a child for three years. One of the things I miss most is the food, and more specifically, the desserts and tropical fruits which are typical only in the southeast Asian region. This series was made for my own family, and now for the hordes of Filipino expats around the world who miss it too.
My interest in art lies primarily with traditional, hand pulled printmaking. I think this is the case because I can get my hands dirty while doing it; and because the process is so long and involved that it's almost like a mediation.
