Jen Long's Profile

About

About Jen:
I find such joy in making things for other people to enjoy. Its always been that way, I hardly ever make anything for myself. I like to try new creative processes all the time, I sort of jump from thing to thing sometimes "when the spirit moves me". As a result of this, you don't even want to know what my living room looks like! I like to call it a "creative mess". I give my husband a lot of credit for putting up with my piles of fabric, bowls of buttons and beads, stashes of papers and paints, bins of rubber stamps, partially completed projects, (I could go on and on with this list). I am blessed to be married to a patient man. I like to experiment with sewing and make things with paper, I make glass beads and jewelry, but I can not limit myself to this list. Oh no, I will tile, make soap, reupholster furniture, sew clothes, learn to compost, paint, learn the art of canning food, spin yarn,…

I just like to try lots of new things, what?

About Jeff:
He is an artist, currently spending every spare moment building robots and rocket ships out of other peoples trash. You can check out some of his work here: www.jefficus.etsy.com He just built the most AMAZING desk for me to work at, a computer-time kind of desk. If you saw it you would want it, so I don't think I will show a picture of it just yet. Anywhoo... Jeff builds sculptures, furnniture and fabulous lighting out of rusty old metal things, obsolete electronics and a variety of discarded materials.

We are passionate about the environment, recycling, reusing/upcycling. We make every effort to use recycled materials (or reuse something before it even goes into the recycling bin) and both our art & packaging reflects this philosophy.

Jeff and I are a team of photographers. We shoot weddings, children, babies being born, senior photos, bands, product shots, landscapes, abandoned buildings... the list goes on. Feel free to contact us for photography services (we do travel) and look for our photographs to appear in our Etsy shops soon!
