The name of my jewelry line, Bear Metal, is in honor of my shop companion, Ellie, my large bear-like springer spaniel. She was my trusty work sidekick for 15+ years. She was a true character and a joy to have by my side. She inspired me and kept me on my toes. She'll always be a part of my work and I'll always miss her.

I've been working as an artist for 18 years and am grateful that I'm able to do what I love. I live with my husband, who is also an artist, our 2 dogs and 2 cats. I am a true animal lover at heart and spend my free time working with animal welfare and rescue organizations.

The materials I love to use when making jewelry are copper, silver and enamel. Enameling (which is fusing glass to metal) is challenging but I find it extremely rewarding and beautiful. I LOVE color, so working with bright gorgeous enamel colors is right up my alley. I think wearing a pop of color everyday makes life more colorful and it makes me happy......which is what I want for everyone who wears the jewelry I make;-)

I hope you like my jewelry as much as I love making it. Thanks for supporting artists and buying handmade!
