About

It is my mission to have a shop that features surprising and sometimes -- okay, most of the time -- oddly beautiful things.

Originally from Ohio, I live in the best of both worlds, close to the beach and even closer to the mountains in the Piedmont of North Carolina. I'm a retired medical secretary and have 1 son; 1 daughter-in-law and 1 granddaughter; 2 crazy cats; 1 spoiled Golden Retriever, 1 Welsh Korgi, and 1 husband. :)

ART-WISE: I am self-taught in art which, some say, has a rather peculiar charm. I create individual pieces that may appear a tad eccentric, a little more than strange, or even somewhat child-like to some. Being able to create an idea that pops into my mind and to actually be able to create it is what I live for. I've been dedicated to art since I was five or six years old. SEWING-WISE: My mother taught me how to hand-sew at the age of five. The first thing I made was a green plaid skirt for a Kewpie-faced rubber doll which I will never forget.

I made my first wearable dress while enrolled in Home Economics my sophomore year of high school. It was an off-white wool coat dress with a silk lining...will not forget that either!

Let's face it, I love sewing, drawing, painting --- both art and walls -- writing (I'm working on a poetry/short story book also ,which I'm self-publishing on CreateSpace) and letting my imagination go wild when it comes to creating!

Shop-Wise: the piece I've made for you is/will be here somewhere and someday. Thank you for looking, browsing, and purchasing the STUFF you can't live without!

Eagerly awaiting your return!

Warmest Regards & Peace
