I design my dolls in fabrics because I love texture. And cloth made from natural sources such as cotton and silk lends itself , well, naturally to the way I paint and draw. I love using vintage doilies and lace and fabrics to give my creations a feeling of depth or of being around a long time...

I love stitching glass beads and vintage or antique costume jewelry bits in place and creating an original little character of which I have stitched together with love and happiness, and of course a needle and thread.

I love stitching glass beads and vintage or antique costume jewelry bits in place and creating an original little character of which I have stitched together with love and happiness, and of course a needle and thread.

I've always loved hearts, keys and keyholes, and have recently come to love all the intricate paper flowers (usually used for scrapbooking). I love to crumple them and dye them to my purpose of making them look like love letters from long ago and then used for a doll's hat or part of a headdress.
