Even when I was a little girl, I spent most of my time either at my drawing table or in my grandfather's workshop. While other little girls were playing house, I was gluing, nailing and cutting anything that wasn't already nailed down. I would drive my grandfather crazy, leaving his tools all over the yard and my grandmother would just shake her head every time she found nails in the pockets of my Osh-Kosh pants.
Later I earned a degree in art from Nazareth College in Rochester, but other 'jobs' always seemed to take priority over my art. When I was 30 I went back to school and earned a second degree in Landscape Architecture, which is my current 'job'.
Now I drive my husband crazy, leaving my tools all over the house and my studio. I still spend my spare time nailing, gluing and cutting.
