About

Hello! Hoping you are well!
I am Lisa; a homeschooling, hardworking, peace-loving mom of two.

In 2010, I began making toys for my own children and to trade with others for cloth diapers. I officially opened my shop, Simple Gifts, in 2012 with a hope to bring quality wooden toys to families who might otherwise not be able to afford them.
In October 2012, I opened my Etsy page. Since that time my creativity and effort has seen the shop grow by leaps and bounds. I love it! We are a homesteading family, living in rural Southern Indiana in a historic School House. I am a former social worker, now homeschooling in the Waldorf Methodology. My husband is a chef at a regional catering company. Together we create a wholesome, nurturing and hopefully, enriching environment for our two children.

I hope you will join those who have "favorited" my shop, so you can enjoy the simple pleasures passed on from our family to yours.

Much Peace,
Lisa
