petitelibellule's Profile

About

Having grown up in rural Maine and been raised by handy women, I learned all the pre-requisite skills for 4H-sewing, crocheting, knitting, but it did not become an art form until I took up knitting again several years ago and voilà! My works have been called whimisical, unique, artisitic, portable art. My clients like the one of a kind product that no one else will have. But be warned! My accessories are not for the shy. You will be stopped and asked, "Where did you get that?!!"

CUSTOM ORDERS:
I love custom orders. If I have an item you'd like to see in a different color combo, convo. If I do not have the yarn or other materials in stock, there will be aminimum additional 25% cost to obtain the needed material added to the purchase price. Other choices, such as handle selection and size of final product can effect the final cost as well.

SHIPPING:

FREE Shipping regular USPS in continental US for orders for petitelibellule only of $80 or more-convo me first so I can change the charges.

I can arrange to ship overseas so convo me. I like to respect the reuse philosophy when I ship-meaning I use a pre-owned box whenever I can.
I ship priority usps within a few days of your order. If you want to pay for faster usps, convo me to make that arrangement. If your Etsy address and your Paypal address do not match, I will not ship until I can confirm the correct address. I'll drop you a convo once the item has shipped so you can be on the look out for it. Let me know if it is a gift and I'll include a decorative bag for the recipient and the listing decription so they know how special their gift is.

CARE:
For the felted items, while felted wool is very durable material, it needs to be treated with care. No throwing it on the floor of the mom-mobile to be trampled on by kids and dogs. It can pill-think wool sweater-but you can use a lint brush , a sweater stone or a sweater shaver-with care and diligence- to take the pills off. When you store the bag empty, you can stuff it with plastic bags to help it keep its shape and store it how you would any of your woolen goods to protect it from moths, dust and sunlight. Just like a wool sweater, do not wash with heat or agitation. If you are not familiar with caring for wool product, I’d advise taking it to a professional cleaner and let them do the work for you! Many of my scarves can be gently hand washed then dried flat (try using a detergent that need no rinsing like a Eucalan product made for washing wool goods) -in cold water and NO agitation-heat and agitation cause wool to shrink and then felt. Again, if you are unsure, let the dry cleaner do the work for you.

RETURNS:
I aim to have a satisfied customer with each product I hand knit. To that end, I will except returns up to 30 days from the sale for no reason as long as the product is in the exact same condition it was sold in-new, no wear and tear, no odors, no smudges etc. Just send it back (at your cost) and I’ll refund you. If you item is defective, and not from harsh wear and tear or poor care, I will repair items in need of repair whenever ever possible, but since much of my work is one of a kind, I cannot always make another due to the availability of the yarn and fabric. I will contact you about what repair I am able to do or if a refund is needed.
