About

Almost as soon as I decided to start selling handmade goods, I knew what my shop name would be. But why Philosophias? I have been a lover of the subject of philosophy even before I knew what it was. Or maybe it indicates that I hope to nurture more lovers of individual wisdom. I want to leave a legacy of compassion and wisdom that touches people, even if I never get the chance to meet them. I am proud to announce that I am starting to donate to a new organization. Effective 10/15/2012, 20% of profit made on all items will be invested in Kiva loans. Why Kiva loans? They are loans given to people so they can get a head-start on their lives. Most loans are eventually paid back, and will be reinvested into a new borrower. It’s the gift that keeps on giving. I have been so blessed to be able to have the funds to kick-start this little business of mine, and I want to be able to help others kick-start their dreams as well.
