Olena studied photography in high school and college and is constantly learning from her peers and through experimentation. She practices "found photography" - shooting her environment without disturbing or manipulating it. Although she loves to work with Photoshop, all her composition is done in-camera with only minor editing for lighting and saturation using her Mac. Having studied Advertising and Graphic Design at Humber College, she now puts her photography to use in her freelance design work and has had her photographs published by John Wiley & Sons, Master Point Press, and recently in Digital Camera Magazine.
"I like to try and get out every weekend to shoot if I can," she says. "It helps that Toronto has such a great abundance of monuments, parks, and attractions all year round."
