About

I'm an art geek. A camera toting, mess making, texture obsessed art geek working from my home studio in Kansas City. I have my degree in photography and graphic arts yet somehow ended up working with kids for the last 12+ years. I also own a small portrait photography business. It's been an adventure.

I collect cameras, love music, read 1/2 of most books I start, have the funniest 8 year old and the cutest 3 month old alive, straighten items on store shelves as I pass by and constantly try to talk my husband into adopting a cat. When I'm not busy with things mentioned, I try to find outlets for my creativity.

I love mixed media. I was drawn in by its mandatory messiness and fell in love with the freedom, adventures and textures of it all. I then fell into the creativeness of digital mixed media and became hooked. Some of my mixed media images were just published in the Autumn edition of Somerset Digital Studio. You can find those and my other Mixed Media work at dentedcurls.etsy.com

I am a lover of all things DIY, which is how a major portion of my Etsy store was established. A few years ago I had an idea for a onesie and found a company to sell them using my design. The product took off and I was left behind watching and making pennies on the dollar. I finally decided to start my own store and make them myself. I don't regret it one bit!

My shop has evolved throughout the years and continues to do so. Please come back soon to check out the changes!
