About

I am the mother of two wonderful children and the wife of my college sweetheart and soul mate. We live on beautiful Lake Norman in NC. After the birth of our second child, I was ready to leave the corporate world and be a stay-a-home Mom. It didn't take me long to get fidgety. I have always been "crafty" so I decided to turn my favorite hobby, jewelry making, into a career. I launched my website, www.PickledBeads.com in 2003.

I get so much joy out of creating personalized pieces for little girls, moms and grandmas. I imagine those tiny bracelets on the babies and think about how the bracelet will someday become a treasured heirloom. As the baby grows into a woman, she'll look back at that bracelet with amazement that she was ever that tiny. Maybe she'll pass it on to HER daughter or granddaughter. I think about how much I love wearing my childrens' names on my wrist and dangling from my keys. I find myself rubbing the sterling silver letters when we're separated....missing them, hoping they're safe. And I think about the tears that have come from my Mother, Mother-in-Law, and grandmother's eyes when they've opened a gift that includes the birthstones of all of their precious grandbabies. I always hope that my customers get the same heartfelt reaction. It's priceless :) And I really beam with pride when I think about the brides that have allowed me to be a part of their special day. My jewelry is there for the first glance, the first kiss, the first dance and all the hugs from loved ones. Makes my heart melt.

Thanks to the people who have trusted me to create that special pieces for their loved ones. I look forward to many more memories.
