I made my first hat as a student of costume design. After lecturing costume design for a few years I moved to Boston where I have been making hats ever since.

Hats awaken stories from the past. I love hearing stories of mothers, grandmothers or great grandmothers and the hats they wore. Though style
varies from decade to decade hats are always in vogue

I love using vintage and antique fabric, lace, buttons and other pieces of sparkle and whimsy in my work. I have an ongoing passion for collecting
these elements.

Some of my hats are one of a kind. Others are part of the season's collection where I incorporate the latest trends in color and design.
