About

Hello there! My name is Shelley.

Welcome to my shop of tissue, felt, fabric, and paper...that has been cut and sewn into a little bright something.

A little about me...I live on a hill with my hubby and two little girls. Whenever we have a chance, we are usually found with scissors, paint, pencils and paper in hand or outside studying bugs and flowers.

I was a number cruncher until my girls arrived. Since then I have been mostly at home. It has given me a chance to be a calm mom and expand my creativity, which has been waiting patiently to be released for many years.

Since 2009, I've created scrapbook pages and art for publication for magazines and books. I opened my etsy shop of garlands in 2011 after whipping a few together for a New Years…

I opened my etsy shop of garlands in 2011 after whipping a few together for a New Years Eve party. Since then, my items have been featured in Brides Magazine, Atlanta Bride, Babiekins Magazine, a few select retail shops, and on several blogs. In 2016 they will be published in an upcoming book by Brooklyn Brides

They have reached many corners of the globe; Japan, Russia, Denmark, Australia, New Zealand, Norway, Belgium, U.K., Spain, France, Germany, Austria, Italy, Hong Kong, UAE, Lebanon, Canada, Korea, Brazil, Sweden, Switzerland, Luxembourg to name just a few...for prominent trend-setting brands, museums, event planners, photographers, and other folks like me just celebrating life.

The part that I enjoy the most is collaborating with customers from all around and knowing that in a small way I can contribute a little extra something to their grand plan. My next creative stop...to finish my book of poems and illustrations and follow the path of Roald Dahl, Dr. Seuss, and Shel Silverstein.

My on again/off again blog, The Chocolate Room: http://shelleyaldrich.blogspot.com/

Thank you for swinging by and happy celebrating this wonderful life!
