Growing up in Europe, I got into trouble for dreaming too much in primary school, then I found art, more trouble... but at least I have fun!...

Right now it's Turtles and Birds, can't stop sculpting these marvelous creatures!!! Must be my aquarian nature.

Most of my pieces are Raku fired; on the second firing, the process involves pulling the pieces red hot out of a kiln and introduced in a can full of wood shavings, instantaneously bursting into flames on contact.
The can is closed to cut off oxygen and the resulting heavy smoke creates the effects on the clay and the glaze.

I love this process, it's exciting and dangerous! and who doesn't like to smell like a campfire?...
