EC Hanson's Profile

About

I have intentionally not created stories about each doll so the person who buys them can do just that........create their own story; a story that comes from their imagination! Have fun with it!

I am EC Hanson, a life coach, an advisor, an artist. I have been making play therapy tools for over 25 years and most recently I changed my play therapy mojo to creating these bean bags and bags to carry play therapy tools. The bean bags came to be, after many years of making my MoodMeters which are useful in helping the child or adult understand was actually feeling in the moment. Many have trouble saying what they feel but they can identify their feelings when they see the face that expresses what is actually going on inside.

I took the Mood Meter idea and morphed it into the "Feeling Face Bean Bag". They got their name from a professional in the field, who is a working family therapist who uses quite a lot of my tools including dolls and weighted blankets. When she asked me to make her a weighted blanket I suggested using the faces in "beanbag" form so the child would choose the feeling right there. She is using them now and I love that. This makes what I love to do worthwhile.

I make the FFBB and the Bags that carry them and other tools, out of recycled blue jeans. I believe in reusing & recycling and do this as much as I can. This also reduces the cost of things. I hope you enjoy them and find them useful.

Thank You,
EC Hanson
