My name is Dusty and I’m a fulltime lampwork artist. I’ve been making beads since 2004. Like most lampworkers, it’s my passion and obsession. I love color, shape, and texture. I use a lot of pure silver and enamels in my work. Most of my beads are free-formed but on occasion I do use the presses as a starting point. I sculpt, push, pull, cut and twist the glass when it's molten to get great organic shapes. I make all of the beads (of course) and all of the components that go into them, meaning twisties, shards, murrini, stringer and what ever else I need. All glass gets put right into a digitally controlled kiln from the flame for annealing then they are cleaned of bead release and ready for you.
I am a member of SRA (self-representing artists) and my number is J-25.
