Shelly Haas' Profile

About

Since the day I sat down on the living room floor about 17 years ago and learned how to make a necklace, I have not been able to put jewelry down. It has been my one true love that continually keeps my passion to create strong. My jewelry designs have grown up and evolved along with me throughout the years, as have the materials I use, and diversity of techniques and style.

Positive Creations was chosen as my business name because that is the type of jewelry I strive to create. Jewelry is special to people, it should feel good, they should identify with it. It's something that should put a smile on peoples faces when they adorn themselves with it. When creating a piece, I love imagining the smile that is brought to the person's face that wears it. Having my pieces find their way home with people that feel positive when wearing them, brings me deep joy…

Having my pieces find their way home with people that feel positive when wearing them, brings me deep joy.

I feel compelled to, and enjoy knowing all that I can about the materials I create with, and am continually fascinated with these endless types of materials that motivate me to create such a broad range of styles. This is also what keeps me inspired. I'm sure I could spend several lifetimes as a jeweler and not run out of new components to work with and new design ideas. I'm never without a notebook to jot down ideas. I just hope that I have the time in this life to bring at least most of them to fruition.

I hail from Minnesota, and have been based out of the beautiful Pacific Northwest for the past 10 years in Olympia, WA.

I AM TRADE/BARTER FRIENDLY!
