The name Poverty Barn started out as a little joke made by Scott. He told us that if we ever created a business, that's what we should call it. We girls took him seriously. And then we forced him to work long hours out in the garage, ripping apart pallets, sawing, sanding, gluing and nailing those pallets into blank signs. We pay him with our undying adoration and love. He calls his little sweatshop Scooter's Shed, and dreams of the day when he will actually have a shed - or a barn, shack or other outbuilding - from which to hang his shingle.

We believe that a house becomes a home when it is filled with the things that its owners hold dear. If your style is vintage or modern, traditional or contemporary, whimsical or artsy, that is what your home should say. We want to help you express yourself through custom wood signs, burlap prints & canvases. We believe that you should be able to do that without breaking the bank.

We specialize in helping you bring to reality the style that you imagine. It is our desire to create quality pieces that you will be proud to give as gifts, share with visitors to your home or treasure just because they speak to you.

Please use Etsy's conversation feature if you have any questions regarding something we can create just for you!

Whatever you do, whether in word or deed, do it all in the name of the Lord Jesus, giving thanks to God the Father through Him. Colossians 3:17
