I've been making artsy things since my middle school days in the early 70's. My art has become more earthy and Native American inspired since moving to Washington. I like to incorporate found items and natural elements to all of my pieces. I'm also a big fan of things vintage & antique so I try to give many of my bags an "old world" look.
All of my bags are handstitched, original designs. Most of the leather used is deerskin, though you'll find some elk, antelope, bison (buffalo) and sheepskin now and then.
The Turquoise I use is genuine and hand picked for color and quality. Most of it is Chinese Turquoise, as I love the colors and textures. I never use plastic, chalk, Howlite or Magnesite, that can be made to look like Turquoise.
