About

I've been making artsy things since my middle school days in the early 70's. My art has become more earthy and Native American inspired since moving to Washington. I like to incorporate found items and natural elements to all of my pieces. I'm also a big fan of things vintage & antique so I try to give many of my bags an "old world" look.

All of my bags are handstitched, original designs. Most of the leather used is deerskin, though you'll find some elk, antelope, bison (buffalo) and sheepskin now and then.

When I work on a piece, the creativity flows and the leather, beads, bones...take on a life of their own. I never know what direction I'm going to go. So custom work can be difficult for me. It's hard to go in with a preconceived idea or to draw something first. But give me a try if you want something special. It may take me awhile, but certainly worth the wait.

Thanks for looking at my bags.
