Precious Play Time comes from the solace I take in playing with dreamed up crafting ideas which led to my affinity for the "hunt" for hidden vintage treasures.

I stumbled onto Etsy when my favorite scrapbook lady of all times, Cass from PaperTales, closed her brick and mortar near me to focus on vintage items on Etsy, and here I am...totally in awe by the creativity and friendliness here.

Somehow my scrapbooking extended into frames and signs, and now vintage and antique items which I love learning about. If they had given me a trunk of antique treasures in history class, I might have paid attention and learned more back then :) But now part of my home has undergone a complete transformation from spare room to "Eclectic Vintage Tea Room", complete with The Book of Good Manners from 1900, flipped open to the…

About

Precious Play Time comes from the solace I take in playing with dreamed up crafting ideas which led to my affinity for the "hunt" for hidden vintage treasures.

I stumbled onto Etsy when my favorite scrapbook lady of all times, Cass from PaperTales, closed her brick and mortar near me to focus on vintage items on Etsy, and here I am...totally in awe by the creativity and friendliness here.

Somehow my scrapbooking extended into frames and signs, and now vintage and antique items which I love learning about. If they had given me a trunk of antique treasures in history class, I might have paid attention and learned more back then :) But now part of my home has undergone a complete transformation from spare room to "Eclectic Vintage Tea Room", complete with The Book of Good Manners from 1900, flipped open to the etiquette section on "Afternoon Tea". My oh my have times changed ~ which makes it all the more fun to pretend they haven't. Simply put, where others see refuse, I see hanging on my wall adorned with skeleton keys, buttons, tea stained muslin and antique CDV's of children with tiny tea sets or some other fun and crazy thing.

My son dabbles with me at times, along with Max, our English Springer Spaniel, who helps too...usually at my feet, and sometimes under them, when playing in "the trunk" or workshop.

The name Precious Play Time is from my youth. I was named after my Grandmother Josephine whose sisters called her Pheny, pronounced "feenie", and so it continues. When I was little, my Mother called me Precious Pheny, and I thought precious was something bad apparently, and told her "I'm not precious, I'm Pheny!"

Many other nicknames have evolved, too numerous to list, as a result of my name and 4 siblings who I adore along with old friends.

Thanks for visiting and thanks to my etsy friends who share their knowledge and wisdom. Oh, and check out the great vintage member shoppes of the Vintage Etsy Society Street Team here:

Enough about me, drop me a convo line ~ I'd love to hear about your interests, creative niches or just to do a little networking in the event we can help each other out in the future.

With Warmest Regards,
Josephine, AKA: Pheny, Ning, Neno, Phin, Ninkady.....(told ya)
