You say Tomaydo, I say Tomato? I am originally from the North East of England, and moved to Atlanta, Georgia in 2009. As if that wasn’t enough I then moved to Tucson, Arizona, in October 2012!

So what’s a career woman supposed to do when she moves across the Atlantic, away from family, friends, and all the creative people she’s ever known??? Well, I started exploring my new home, and then turned to my trusty old Mac….

I have made a series of prints of local landmarks around metro Atlanta / North Georgia. I have centuries of history back home – castles, cathedrals, and stately homes, but in America it’s the quirky that makes me happy: The tiny 1930’s diner rebuilt after a fire by donations from the customers… The 56 foot high chicken that military pilots use as a marker when landing a military…

I was asked to produce a series of prints to sell in the gift shop at Smith Gilbert Gardens - which literally is a hidden gem! The historic Hiram Butler House, built in 1882, was purchased in 1970 by Gilbert and Smith, who set about planting the 16 acres with not only plants, but with 30 wonderful sculptures. It is the most amazing place, whether you are love art or gardens!

And, now… after being dragged around classic car shows, (and having to suffer the rebuild of a Gran Torino in the garage), I am in the process of making a series of prints from all of the images I have of American classic cars.

My latest venture: After making commemorative gifts for friends for very special occasions – a first birthday and a wedding, I am soon to be taking orders for personalized shadow boxes too.

My very latest venture: Trying to get rid of all of the beads, ribbons, fixings, pendants, and broken jewelry I have saved over the years - I finally started to make jewelry!!!
