About

Born into a family of artists, I have been obsessed with the spectrum since I was a little girl. From science fair triptychs to first-day-of-school outfits, I relished rainbows in every form. After wiping off the glass and holding it up to the light, I often found a bit of perfect beauty clasped in my hands.

About

Born into a family of artists, I have been obsessed with the spectrum since I was a little girl. From science fair triptychs to first-day-of-school outfits, I relished rainbows in every form. I especially loved going to NYC's Fashion District with my mom (who designed gold and diamond jewelry before launching her own business); I spent hours with my arms elbows-deep in boxes of dusty glass beads, retrieved from a shelf in a bead vault somewhere. After wiping off the glass and holding it up to the light, I often found a bit of perfect beauty clasped in my hands.

I learned so much from my mom: how to distinguish quality art glass from junk; the history of different types of beads; the attention to detail, innovation, and unflagging customer service with which she found success. I also realized how much I admired her incredible guts and determination to run a small business for 30+ years. Perhaps it is no surprise that after several years in trend marketing at a fragrance house, I decided to follow in my mother's footsteps and go out on my own.

If you love color as much as I do, check out my favorite sellers here on Etsy and my personal blog at prismaticaesthetic.wordpress.com. It's a treasure trove of design and color trends, innovative artists, and other inspirations--my own small effort to create a world of color and light.

Have an inspired day!
