Yvette Kama's Profile

About

Aloha I'm Yvette Kama the creator and curator of the PureAloha shop. I am a mother and wife living on the beautiful Northshore of O'ahu near the famous Waimea Bay. I'm greeted and inspired daily by the sounds of the seashore, gentle Hawaiian breezes and warm year-round sunshine.

In 2005 when I married, i found myself drawn to the concept of Kealoha'anolani (the celestial/pure aloha). It starts from within yourself and a personal connection with Ke Akua. When you're in tune with that kind of Aloha, it is the love that you emanate out for others, the passion that drives your creative being, and it feeds your soul. I am not perfect, but a work in progress. As such I am always striving to be ever-learning, ever-loving and a better vessel for sharing PureAloha.

The etsy.PureAloha.com shop is a culmination of that sharing…

Our rich culture, aloha spirit and the island ways make Hawaii's people like no other. The beauty of our 'aina (land) from mauka (mountain) to makai (ocean) is undeniably unique. To be born here and live here is a privelege and honor which come with the price of paradise and our collective responsibility to malama (care for) this place we call home.

By choosing to reduce, reuse and recycle wherever possible to bring beautiful items to you with PureAloha.
