Rachelle Keller's Profile

About

Most of what you've read in other peoples' profiles probably applies right here so I'll just skip that formality, I have nothing new to add.

I'm in sunny Southern California and the literal backyard of The Happiest Place on Earth (that's Disneyland in case you've never heard of it)!

When I'm not over rubbing elbows with Mickey and Minnie in my own socially awkward way I'm a full-time caretaker of my sweetheart of 13 years who has been diagnosed with [Young] Parkinson's Disease—he just celebrated his 50th birthday.

I have a new assistant cat. He was kind of a stray hobo cat that started hanging around, decided he liked the food, attention, sleeping safely indoors, and treats. He loves the treats! From what i can tell he is still a kitten, probably a Maine Coon. I'm going to need a bigger…

I'm going to need a bigger carrier. He's a ball of 100% sweet timid flinching fluff that was obviously abused before he found me. Welcome to your forever home, Mr. McNugget!

I've been an Etsy seller since early 2008, never making a fortune but also never getting discouraged. I enjoy what I do. Period. I love selling and listing quality jewelry supplies and handmade jewelry. Well, actually I love making handmade jewelry but photographing and listing it, not so much.

My hobbies do NOT include: photography. It's merely a necessary evil so please give my less-than-catalog-or-Pinterest-worthy photographs a bit of a break. Deal?

I actually DO NOT do custom work. It's difficult to explain but it's actually very emotionally exhausting and stressful for me to do custom pieces. This is odd for someone who claims to love making handmade jewelry, but then I'm odd. Again, I don't post many handmade pieces mostly because of that whole photography thing mentioned earlier.

My hobbies DO include, but are not limited to, jewelry making, needlework, sewing, embroidery, and melting stuff in really hot fire (glass, metal, marshmallows, etc). All handmade stuff in my shop is made by me courtesy of whatever hobby might be my passion at the moment. Might be sewing, might be embroidery, might be jewelry making. I don't know what it will be until I've had at least two cups of coffee that morning.

Did I mention I have an actual professional industrial embroidery machine in my kitchen? Yeah. I did say earlier that I was a bit odd.
