Karen Ennis' Profile
According to my mother, I showed my artistic talent when I was a baby. She found me in my crib, finger painting circles on the wall with stuff I found in my diaper. I suppose I have always been one who can find ways to turn "trash" into treasure.
When I was a young mom, I didn't have much money, that is nice talk for, I could hardly afford wrapping paper for a gift. But that didn't stop me...I just went to my big drawing pad, ripped out a sheet of paper and splatter-painted the whole thing with acrylic paints I had. Voila! Custom wrapping paper. And so it has always been this way with me.
My son and daughter's Halloween costumes were handmade by me because the store bought costumes were so over priced and I just couldn't afford two at a time. In my mind, I knew I could make a better costume and I wasn't at all limited to design…
