Quiet Season Fibers' Profile

Hand spun yarn is not only special in its appearance but has significantly more air than most commercially spun yarns. This gives the yarn a bounciness and squishiness that makes it truly special to work with.

My yarns are breed specific and can be used for a variety of special projects from snuggly cowls, shawls and hats to long lasting mittens, socks, and sweaters.

I try to support other fiber artists by purchasing many of my materials from small, local farms and independent hand-dyers. Together we create an amazing and diverse marketplace that brings us fresh inspiration for ever new creative endeavors. Can you imagine what it would be like if we didn't have each other? These dyers and farms are identified in the product listings. I encourage you to check them out and support them so that they can continue to thrive and provide amazing products.

Try my yarns for yourself or share them with a special fiber lover in your life!

And always enjoy your own quiet time making things you love, Virginia
