Fiber provides a way for me to express myself artistically - I enjoy "painting" with fabric and thread. I gravitate toward bright colors and am influenced by my love of nature and travel. I love to work with small bits of different fabrics to create dimension, fusing them in place and adding lots of stitching to add life and stability to each piece. It's labor intensive, but time flies as I lose myself in the joy of creating.

I grew up in Hawaii, moved to California, then to Florida, where I've been living in Brevard County with my husband, Rudy, for 10 years. Guess I just keep heading east - but always where there's lots of sun. I think that tropical warmth is reflected in my art. I also love to travel, and a lot of my work is inspired by the culture and sights that I experience.
