Allison Malacaria's Profile

About

It all started with a preprinted potholder my grandmother gave me to cross stitch. This turned into a passion for crafting by hand and a life of making toys and games for my children and repurposing vintage linens and knits as gifts.

Hand stitching is my preferred method of crafting. I was inspired by Laura Ingalls Wilder's description of the tiny hand sewing stitches she had to learn as a child. I wondered then just how tiny I could make my own stitches. I find a hand sewn toy much more durable and more easily repaired should it ever come undone.

Enjoy!
