Erin Murphy's Profile

About

The contrast of new and old ideas and materials feels natural and exciting to me. Past and present don't exist separately; they are layered all around our physical environment and, more importantly, in our minds. Most of my mixed media work takes inspiration from science while incorporating traditions of religious art. I also make necklaces that mix bright colors with discarded bits and pieces from a hundred years ago. I hope you enjoy looking at my work and drop me a line.
