Hanna's Profile

About

raori is a small indie slow-fashion and lifestyle label, focusing on humanly and eco-friendly produced clothes and textile items for everyday life.

My name is Hanna and I like to live a simple life, close to nature and with time to create. I’m a fashion designer/ pattern maker/ textile teacher/ illustrator who got tired of the over-consuming society we live in; the constant flow of advertising, fast high-street trends, pollution and inhumane working environments… I didn’t want to be a part of it anymore. So I took a deep breath, stopped buying, turned off the TV and started to make the things we needed in life instead, starting with an urban farm in our backyard and my two Etsy shops: raori and raorivintage.

About

raori is a small indie slow-fashion and lifestyle label, focusing on humanly and eco-friendly produced clothes and textile items for everyday life.

All pieces in my shop are unique and handmade with love and quality. I care a lot about the environment so I only use organically produced fabrics or left-over fabrics from the fashion industry. Nothing in the production goes to waste: Small fabric cuttings becomes clothes for me or my kids (or their dolls). And what is left after that is used for quilts, carpets or pillow stuffing. I love to up-cycle old clothes and fabrics into something new and exiting. Oh, and I also make simple and cute wedding dresses.

I hope you’ll find something you like. Thanks for stopping by and have a great day!
