Rebecca Chavez Bear's Profile

About

Hello, Bear Earth Products consists of my husband and myself. We are both North American indigenous individuals, seeking to sell our handcrafted items online in order to raise money to support local native programs endeavoring to retain native customs, ceremonies and traditions for our youth.
I am a native Nevadan and a member of the Western Shoshone. I live and work in Reno, Nevada as a newly graduated nurse-midwife. Since finishing grad school, I have rediscovered bead working. I hope others enjoy my beaded creations as much as I enjoy creating them.
My husband, a drum-maker is a member of the Oglala-Lakota tribe. He stretches elk and buffalo hide onto marine plywood to obtain long lasting durable drums that have deep, clear resonant tones.
