Deb Ahrendt's Profile

About

I was born into a military family in Fairbanks, Alaska although both my folks were proud Texans. My mom was a pretty young woman who loved jewelry and had lots of great 50's costume jewelry, which naturally caught my eye. When I was 10, my dad was transferred to Germany, and we had a chance to travel Europe. During one summer vacation, we visited Italy, where I really fell in love with art glass and beads. So, at the age of 12, I hauled my first load of beads home straight from Venice. The rest, as they say, is history.
