I grew up in the countryside in Maryland, in a 100 year old farmhouse that my dad salvaged from demolition by relocating and renovating throughout my childhood. My mom taught each of her four kids the value of thrift and an appreciation of art. This combined into a special set of values and resourcefulness that informs my life and art, and for which I am very grateful.
I received a Bachelors of Fine Art degree in Painting from the Maryland Institute, College of Art in Baltimore, MD.
I now live in Denver, Colorado with my husband and daughter. For our wedding, 15 years ago, I received a table saw and a sewing machine as gifts. I use these to create repurposed home decor in my home studio.
